“I felt awakened to the power of food and hospitality to unite people. Suddenly, the world made sense to me - this is how I would connect with others.”

Carlos Suarez, Founder

Where we’ve been

With a Wharton education, a brief stint in finance, and a profound love for food, 26-year-old Carlos embarked on an ambitious journey to open his first restaurant, Bobo. Inspired by parent’s Italian countryside garden and the transformative power of food at the family table, Carlos aspired to recreate the intimate, communal atmosphere he cherished at home. From personally demoing his first restaurant to building Casa Nela, Carlos remains committed, 16 years and 5 restaurants later, to his mission of crafting authentic and accessible dining experiences, now alongside an amazing team of passionate hospitality professionals.
